Q - "I just want to know if they test for Oxycontin or not."
A - It can somewhat depend on if you specifically got caught with Oxycontin or not. If you did the odds are that they WILL test for Oxycontin. BUT ALSO they test 95% of their "clients" for 5 "things": THC(Weed), opiates, cocaine, Methamphetamine & adulterants. I hope that you realize that Oxycontin WILL cause you to test positive for opiates and that will cause them to send your "sample" out to a lab(charge you $25) for confirmation of the positive result and then the lab will determine what specific type of opiate you are testing positive for. I hope this helps you out and please spread the word about this site and if I get enough complaints from current & past JAMS clients & even their families we all might be able to put a stop to JAMS or AT LEAST get them regulated and have their employees DRUG TESTED & certified in drug testing, both of which they ARE NOT! Remember this, If you know that you will test positive when your color comes up you will get into LESS trouble missing a test then testing positive! This place is a rip off. Let's see, where to start..... 1st I don't think they properly calibrate their pbt's because I blew a .010 one morning and I swear I didn't drink anything because I don't like jail very much. Thank god my lawyer ($2000) got me out of it. 2nd they keep switching their rules and shit up, one day I'm paying 6 bucks to blow, the next day I can buy a plastic piece to bring with me so I don't have to pay anymore, then the next day I have to pay again. 3rd, according to them my piss was adulterated 3 times in a row, I had to pay $48 before I supposedly gave them some acceptable piss, I don't do drugs by the way. Finally, it is bullshit because on the weekends I can only test in the morning, it's not like I can piss on the drop of a dime, I need at least a 12-18 hour notice, not fucking 1-5. So whenever I go in on the weekends, I can hardly ever piss and continously have to go back, make sure I don't drink any water, don't take any vitamins and not know whether or not I have to pay the $12 over again. FUCKING BULLSHIT!!!
kikrlbshard I feel ya man! The place is a fucking joke! I CAN NOT believe that the courts would go through a company like JAMS where the employees ARE NOT even drug tested themselves or even certified in drug testing and specimen collection. People's freedom is on the line and these money grubbing courts would rather make more profits then having their probationers tested properly! I myself even tested positive for morphine, a drug that I NEVER have done! PLEASE let more people know about this site and have them post their complaints and horror stories and just maybe we can get them shut down! When I was going to JAMS I would go dumpster diving and find people's PBT and/or drug test results usually with their FULL NAME, ADDRESS, COURT & OFFENSE! I even found full case files of previous "clients"! JAMS is so interested in making as much money as they can that they DO NOT even have a SHREDDER, the most I have seen them do is rip the file(s)in half! I want to find more people to help me collect all the things that they throw away & do not shred with people's personal info on it and contact those people when I have enough and try to get a class action lawsuit going on that crooked ass company! Please contact me again and lets try and get more people that go to JAMS on our side collecting info and evidence of them mishandling peoples personal info(a HIPPA violation)! DO NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT ANY OF THIS TO JAMS! Play this one close to your chest because once they find out then they will start trying to cover their tracks and we DO NOT want that. Also, I am on an alcohol related charge and I am forced to take drug tests for 6 extra bucks every time! Thats 72 dollars I could have by the time I get off probabtion. 72 dollars could have paid my heat bill!
p.s. Anyone find it hard to urinate when an old man is staring at your unit making sure your not doing something fishy?
I disagree. If the drug test is a standard 5 panel screening then Oxycontin/Hydrocodone will not show up. If they use a more advanced test like a 12 panel test then Oxy/Hydro will show up. Anyone know what type of testing that they use?
They do a 10 panel screen. They do test for hydrocodone. Bring whatever prescriptions you have with you. I had surgery when I was on probation and they gave me vidcodin and percoset for the pain. Tested positive for both and had to provide proof of prescription. Good luck.
Ok, so once it was declared that I had to take randoms through jams i got as straight as I was when I was 6 years old, and on my third test, I was violated. They wouldn't disclose what I tested possitive for, which I think is well within my right to know. There were three employees in the testing area that were all handling money, eating lunch and handling multiple urine samples. When I was filling my cup i asked the guy watching me if he ever got people who were too shy, to which he replied crassly, "yeah and I just tell 'em to pee or I'll cut their dicks off." Wow. How professional. I told my probation officer about this at my violation hearing and said I refused to return. She had me do my remaining random tests in the mens room of the court. No further problems.

Here's one for you. Have you guys heard of the new ETG? It tests for alcohol back 72-80 hrs. So get this. My boyfriend goes to Jams 3 times a week. Twice a week they do an ETG and a breathalizer. If the ETG shows alcohol for up to 72-80 hrs why should he have to pay $5 for a breathalizer. Isn't that redundent? In addition. Over the last 6wks before his court date he easily spent an excess of over $250 on JAMS screens. So, he goes to court and gets sentenced to 30 days in Macomb for not showing up for probation and another 30 days if we don't come up with $320. We would have easily had the $320 if the judge hadn't of made him do 3 JAMS a week between pre-trial and sentencing. So, it just ended up costing the tax payers more money. And I could start a whole other blog on conditions and goings on at Macomb County Jail.
Okay, I will give you some up-to-date information. Currently Jams sends out about 90% of the specimens to lab now and test clients from specific courts on-site. This is a request from the individual court. The no-disclosure information is in the paperwork they have you sign to start the program. This is also request by the court for some stupid reason.
Either the Judge I went in front of or someone he knows is profiting off JAMS. Dennis Leduc, The Romeo Michigan is sending everyone including me to JAMS and I have not even been tried or conviced of anything. I was charged with a disturbing the peace but at arrainment he said I have to take drug and alcohol test 2 to 3 times a week at 9 to 14 dollars apiece. Guilty until innocent I guess. He gives everyone who goes before him drug tests before sentencing even if they have never even been charged with a drug or alcohol offence so it has to be money and punishing people before they are tried or convicted is flat out unconstitutional
Nobody cares nor can they do anything about it. Judge LeDuc in Romeo Michigan is sending everyone who enters his court there wheather charged with a drug/alcohol offence or not. He does this before you are even tried or convicted. He sent me there the day I was arraigned for a noise violation. I have to pay to every week to prove I am not guilty of taking drugs and/or alcohol even thou I wasn't charge with a drug or alcohol offense.He also said I cannot drink, I don't anyway but being in my thirties his tyrannical rule bothers me. Either him or someone he is close too is financially benefiting from every person that enters his courtroom, you are guilty. until proven innocent. I have wrote many places but have yet to receive a response, I guess when facing a tyrant alone all one can do is be obiediant.
Honestly, this place is horrible. I don't see how they can tell you what color piss you can and cant be. why the girl has to stare at my vagina the WHOLE time even after i started peeing. I went in this morning at 6 i peed and it was too clear? what THE fuck, fuck you. then i come back in 20 minutes they say nope you have to wait an hour.. okay. so 40 more minutes pass at this point im litterly about to piss my pants..(and hey thats healthy right? hold your pee for an extra hour just because they wont take it when YOUr ready) .. ugh anyway I get in there..piss.. to clear again. and i SWEAR i did not use ready clean or chug abunch of water. i actually chugged pop before i went in. ive been using jams for almost 6 months and the shit they get away with is unreal. im fucking clean! shit.. its MY own fault i fucked up fo them to give me jams i just wish i could get off of this jams progam. they are horrible and fuck with you!!! ugh money makers and high ons who test you looking at your vagina or dick!!! wtf.
I don't like how we feel hurried. I have parueresis and a lot of you do and no what it's like to have this problem. One of these days, I'm not going to be able to pee after trying at night and the next morning (got lucky on my 2nd attempt in the morning) and end up in jail because they don't have a better way to make you feel more comfortable. I used to have to drug test before in troy...at the troy courts but it was all good... You walked in and sat in a BIG, COMFORTABLE lobby and when your name was called, follow the guy to the bathroom, take your coat off...take of all belt, watch, coat etc... and then you walked into a stall and did your business as opposed to JAMS where they STARE STARE STARE!!! It's not normal and for all those who suffer from BBS, look into a saliva test. It's more money but at least you won't go to jail because you can't pee, naturally, since your being, again, stared at. GO JAMS STARE YOU FREAKS
I have been going to the jams in milford after being caught with a pipe and a few empty baggys of spice and ambien which i used for sleep but was refused when i given the court and jams the perscription saying because it was out of the bottle it was illegal. Jams than goes to my doctor and nulls my script for ambien, i have thyroids and i can no longer sleep. Aside from that i have to pay 80$ for 1 single drug screening because spice costs that much to test for along with the normal panel, and here i was thinking it was legal considering you can buy it at any head shop or gas station! So now im broke, cant sleep and living at my parents house untill this all blows over completely screwing my life up. Lost my girlfreind, my job, and any hopes of receiving one. And now theyre telling me i have to pay another 70$ after my last 70$ test was found "diluted" which i had no intention of doing. I sure hope u guys are doing something against drug testing all together because its the biggest intrusion into ones personal life and rights.
so if this romeo judges wife is the owner of jams wouldnt that make it improper , i did get the option to come to the court that i got in trouble at... 40 mins away but i cannot test at my local court houses, either make the 40 min drive and find a ride or go pay the 23 bucks... i will say tho you cannot blame them for looking at your junk... theirs alot of ways to use someone elses urine. however i do think alot of people have been wrongly convicted because of "RESTITUTION" or whatever funny word the courts like to use , i do believe the judges or probation officers out of romeo district are also getting some sort of a kick back from this... AND THAT NEEDS TO STOP... i will pay the proper amount for my test but not to a privately owned company that operates for a profit... how the fuck is a for a profit company even tied with a court system to begin with..? if the judges or whoever are getting a kick back of money off our testing why would the let us off.. that is why some of us get stuck on this crap for up to 6 months after being clean for things such as someone said... noise violation... i know people with same type of charges and i say BS... someone please look into the whole idea of being a judge and wife buisness and if that is illigal PLEASE put these people to the proper justice as we were not!

The day after the superbowl 2012 jams called special instructions for 48th district court calling all of there colors...except mine (coral). I thought it was odd. I went to jams novi and they were testing that color. If i would of not gone i would of been violated. PAM the manager told me I should just know and if I had a problem with it I should leave. Well im making an official complaint with the states attorney general because this is now the second time it has happened to me. The other time was on july 16 2011. I was violated for missing a jams appoitment. I always claimed they never called my color and now this reassures me that I was right.
First, I personally don't have test for JAMS but my boyfriend does and my dad did a few times. But here is what I can say about JAMS- Sportyman29 your right, heres a second reassurances not only have they claimed to have called my boyfriends color (aqua) when they in-fact never called it, they have also told his probation officer that he tested on a day that they didn't call his color (a thursday) and then never tested on the day that they called his color (a saturday). JAMS is the biggest rip off ever, the only thing that they do is profit off of everyones money that is given to them. Not only do they lie and steal; they are also so rude- there are testing sites that act like everyone that walks through their doors are criminals- not everyone that tests was caught drunk driving or caught with drugs some were just flat out forced which is bs. So at this point not only does my boyfriend keep track of what days he has gone in and testing (he makes them sign, date, and put what he blew) I also keep track in a notebook. I put the date, the online am/pm colors, the online pm/am colors and I track by the phone. One complaint about the phone, whomever records the colors by phone needs to learn how to speak clearly because there are days when cream sounds like green; oh and you pretty much have to check both because there have been a couple times where the colors don't correlate with what is being said by phone and what is being put online. So advice for everyone who has to go test at JAMS keep track because they will fuck you over one way or another. Its all a big scheme from the courts to the probation officers to the testing sites. The judges know the heads of JAMS, the probation officers know the heads of JAMS. Its all a joke, and the biggest joke of them all is that we all know Judges, Lawyers, Police Officers and JAMS employees are all like everyone that they meet in their court rooms, the police stations, and the testing sites. They all have addictions, whether is drug addictions, pain pill addictions, alcohol addictions, gambling addictions, stealing addictions, or pornography addictions. The only difference is the law protects them, it doesn't protect the rest of society like it claims. Otherwise this website wouldn't exist. Thats all I have to say at this point.
Yeah i went to Jams and I hated it. I went to the one in Milford, they sucked. I am going to the new one in Holly called Journey drug and alcohol testing. they are pretty cool except this one guy is pretty much a douche but i only seen him twice. got no problems anymore.
Does anyone know why the Dearborn JAMS was closed today? I waitied outside for an hour and called two of the other locations and no one could tell me why?
If you guys hate JAMS so much go to Nova testing instead. They are always nice to us, the places are always clean and they don't try and rip you off. Hell I even have gotten a free PBT because it was my birthday. At no point did I ever feel that I was treated like a criminal or anything. Much better pricing too. Just ask to switch to nova testing. They used to be accutest I thnk
That place is a joke. I drop in Shelby staff look like they all ride the short bus to work. Then if you come there and can't piss with a dude staring at your cock, you have to pay again the next day. What the hell am I paying for, and you applies for an $8:hr job to stare at cocks all day??? I was only felony probation for 2 years on 2 heroin possession charges and didnt take one drug test, now I got a paraphanaelia ticket and I have to drop and take a PBT twice a week. The system is so fucked up and the people at jams are dicks and just try to fuck people. They have no interest in seeing anyone succeed.
JAMS is a complete joke! I've been on JAMS now for 18 months for a 2nd owi, I fully understand my wrong doing justifies a severe punishment, but over the last year and half jams has violated me twice! there mistake, once they change my color, just outta the blue? OK I figure no pro, I will just call and get it straitened out, yeah right!every one called at jams were beyond rude and very uncooperative and said it wasn't there fault? so long story short I had to get my lawyer, take time off of work, go back in front of judge to get every thing worked out! never even once got a "sorry", all I got was a few extra tests and of coarse cost more money, place is a joke, also violated me once too for urine to clear? are you serious!
They should change their name from JAMS to SCAMS. I go to the Livernois office and it is filthy. The toilet seat has been broken for months and these scam artists are so "above the law" they are stupid enough to be selling illegal dvds and cds out the front door. They say a drug test and pbt is 9.00 but are charging me 37.00 and they think they are getting away with it. Im taking their asses to court. Always get receipts and keep good records of who took your sample because they have altered my drug test 3 times, but i was smart and went to my own testing site, now i can prove they tamper with the samples and the judges and probation officers are all working together like snakes do. contact the attorney general's office because there are power in numbers. i've even had a hair sample taken to get those dirty bastards and they are going down. their sites are unclean, they dont change their gloves after each test and i've witnessed them handle dirty money and take a sample or sometimes two. everytime i go they charge me a different price for the same test. that is like going to the same mcdonalds to get a big mac and each day it's a different price. they are dirty but they have audio and video tapes. request them as proof if you have been mistreated and when they dont bring them to court, then there testimony has no basis.
I go to the JAMS in roseville and once when I went they told me that I had to come back and retest because I didn't pee enough are you fucking kidding me maybe it would be a little easier if you didn't stare at me you peeping Tom freak. Another time they changed my color and then wouldn't let me test because they told me they had no record of them changing my color. Really so it's MY fault you lost the papers. WTF!! They are SO unprofessional and rude. It's really sad that we are subjected to this kind of treatment and have NO choice in the matter. Please continue posting on here and get the word out so these freaks are held accountable for thier actions or lack there of. And I guess if I was being paid $8 to watch people piss I probably wouldnt care much about my job either.
Has anyone ever had there color called 2 days in a row? Also if I drank one night a couple of beers how long would it take to blow a .00 the next morning? When should I start and stop drinking?
Well aside from what has already been said about them changing their policy without notice. I went the other day and was able to pee about half way in the cup. I stilled had 2 more chances in the past they would set it aside let me come back in a few and try again. Well guess what they poured my piss right down the drain. I was like what are you doing and yes the "short bus" kids they are said "Oh that's a new rule we don't do that anymore." They are doing everything to try and make you come back so you have to pay your life away. - Besides what's said about Romeo I can not find out who owns these piss camps and I think that is really odd - Why the secrecy ? If there are going to be changes I want to know upfront and who are these mysterious owners. All I see is kids making shit up and for some reason I can't contact a legitimate person to validate or inform that this behavior is going on.
Today is Tuesday July 17th. and my color is Aqua.I have morning testing in Novi and I swear i've called everyday the past 8 days and haven't heard Aqua, wtf? Does anyone have this color? If you do when was the last time you tested?
The problem with this Blog is that for every one valid point, there are 20+ angry ignorant rants posted by substance abusers venting their frustration because Jams (or any testing facility) is cramping their style.
If I hadn't experienced Jams myself, I'd look at this blog and say..."typical, losers not taking responsiblity...its everyone elses fault". I agree that the Jams program is absolute BS and by definition government influenced organized crime!
There is a huge conflict of interest here! I'd say it is unconstitutional, however you can choose another testng facility. I know this, defense lawyers, many others including a few people posting here mentioned it, but of the thousands of people court ordered to test at JAMS do not and the courts know it. The mighty court with your life and freedom in their hands specifically orders you to random screenings AT JAMS! Not only that, increasingly often Jams testing orders are excessive and unwarranted. They seem to just throw it in! I think there is more than enough here to become suspicious.
How does this happen? We should be asking why and what is going on that JAMS testing is being misrepresented as the order, and by so many courts.
Jams should be investigated on so many levels, however if it can be proven that the justice system is being polluted and the public being exploited by threatening their freedom for the profit of a privately owned company (whether it be owned by a judge or not!?!?!?!?), the other issues migh can be evaluated and handled on another level.
I STRONGLY SUPPORT that drug and alcohol testing be ordered as terms of parole, probation and bond for drug and alcohol related offences. I believed that it was fair that I myself test during my probation period for my own offence. I would also like to make it known that I am not bitter or looking for an excuse. I never violated or had any false positives, in fact I had no issues with any of my results from JAMS during my 9 month probationary period. Thank god they were only PBT tests with a very small margin of error. I do testify to the fact that they are a very obviously mismanaged, sloppy, unprofessional operation and would never trust my freedom to this dirty mob EVER AGAIN! NOW that I am aware there is a choice of facilities unlike I was persuaded by the system.
That being said, IGNORANT FOUL MOUTH RANTS WITHOUT IDENTIFYING A VALID VIOLATION or issue that would concern the rest of us (the ones not looking to beat this system) ONLY STRENGHENS THE JAMS RACKET WHILE ANY INTELLIGENT VALID POINT IS NEGATED AMONGST SUCH IGNORANT UNRELATED COMPLAINTS OF THOSE LOOKING TO EXCUSE THEMSELVES OF RESPONSIBLITY LITTERALY PISSED BY THE INCONVIENCE!
Just got back from jams. As usual the policies have changed. Last time i went there is was free because i'm a minor. But this time i was charged (of course i had no money because they told me it was free last time) I'm starting to think they make up the rules as they go, which means, different people, different rules. As always, i was treated like shit from the time i walked in and walked out. So happy i'm almost done!
Does any one know what jams test for and do they send it to the lab I have to take the 9 dollar drug test just tryin to find out what they even test for
Hey people, yes i was being tested at jams in novi. 47 years old never had a drug or alcohol offense in my life, never had to blow in my life. my offense that landed me in front of a judge had nothing to do with alcohol or drugs. No one explained to me the does or donts of being tested.
after three weeks of testing once a week (aqua) i violated. little did i know till after some research there is some many things that can cause a positive tst result. Being a mechanic alot of things that i do and come into contact with can cause positive tst. chemicals, gasoline brake cleaners, etc. that morning i siphoned gas, then rinsed with mouth wash! another no no.. Being as i dont drink. i knew something else caused this. even with a witness at court of what i had done that morn. and research papers i brought with me. my prob. officer wouldnt even look at it just told me if i go in front of judge with this i will go to jail.. soo i asked her you want me to lie?? being soo inexperience with the whole thing i said i drank. yess i know bigg mistake. I cant afford a lawyer cant offord to lose my job either.
Sooo now i am testing at home 3 times a day!! Then had an issue with the machine no violations ok. but insted of blowing 3 times i was blowing over 80 times a day just to get a proper test! Plus cost of machine and downloads. just unreal. If we want this system changed it has to be done on legaslative level.
The problem there is. so many countys cutting police fire. services. for lack of funds. Now where do you think they can pick up funds from??? yess your right.. from any court case that walks thru the criminal division. whether its drug or alcohol related or not, its a way to fund services.
Now because of issue with my machine the courts said i had to go back to jams. i said no. i found dna test center. very clean people are very nice.
Soo either find a place that you are comfortable with plus call your local senater!! But yes try and stay away from jams
Now a comment to the person that said well just stay out of trouble and you wont have a problem!! You know what i didnt ask for my issue I didnt cause it! I would like to believe that everyone would like to stay out of the courts period! I hope you never have to deal with it. but you will be suprised how things can happen sometimes.

Hey people, If you have taken or taking some kind of pain med with a script or not, a urine test will come up positive for opiates. soo have your current script bottle handy for them or for probation.
i was tested for alcohol only so they said. ha ha. but they found opiates and sent my test to the judge. even though i have had a script for quite a long time. its still cause some issue to get it straight. My point being even if they tell you they are only testing for something if they find anything illegal on that test they will report it! if you doubt the test results for any reason. go some where else as soon as possible get your own test done. the closer to the time of the faulty test the better.
if you know you will test positive on any kind of test you are better off to miss the test then come up positive. you will get in less trouble. i am not suggesting you should its just been from what i been told.

May be this blog can also be a place to share because "JAMS" is not going to die anytime soon. I saw new faces every visit, sadly they were mostly young. I noticed also new colors being added slowly. The train just keeps on rolling. It's kind of funny the experiences we all share like dreaming you used or when you get paranoid because your color isn't called for several days so you call 3 times to make sure...
Thankfully I had the lightest color possible and was only ordered to give a morning PBT. So I was one of the lucky ones and have no real anger toward JAMS. I'm more mad at myself for getting caught OWI. I am surprised that the court wants to monitor our brain chemistry so deeply and punish offenders by not letting them party. It's especially weird when a case has nothing to do with drugs or alcohol and a probationer has to submit to testing. Attorneys should fight harder and refuse this type of agreement which is just illogical.
Lawyers also fail to inform clients the the #1 guide for sentencing is a Substance Abuse Evaluation. Through this psychometric test you are labeled with a risk %. The test in MI is based on the SASSI-3. If you know someone just getting into the system have them look up what this test is: a scan-tron read by a computer to decide if you are a liar! For example when asked if you have tried MJ, answer yes you have. Something like 70% of US citizens have tried MJ, if you say no you appear to be a liar. Never admit to trying anything harder, the computer will think you are a scum- bag addict. You will have to do at least one drug test after sentencing. Get clean for enough time to pass(1-2 months).
I can only give advice on drinking and morning PBT's. Be careful. Study the subject and know your metabolism. I'd say to be safe only drink slowly until 9:00 pm. If you do have a few until 1 in the morning do not go to sleep. You will have to chug glass after glass of water to urinate alcohol from your body. It's not fun or worth it to push it too late.
Stay safe and stay in control. The purpose of the punishment is to teach us order and discipline. Not partying, having a job, waking early EVERY day to call. It's a discipline that many of us were asking for in a sense. You have your whole life ahead of you. Get through this little BS test and then back to going anywhere and doing anything your heart pleases. Peace y'all!
I'm doing JAMS breathalyzers as a condition of my bond. Personally my view is that any requirement of a bond that is not related to preventing flight makes no sense as it has not been established I have done anything wrong. I haven't had my day in court as they say. There is the sense of a strong presumption of guilt throughout the system here. Don't get me started about how JAMS is owned by a judge's wife.

My experience with jams has led me to believe it is run by racists. If i were not white i would not have to even pee every meeting. They told a black man in front of me to do the breathalyzer and that was it. The lady said, "oh you dont do any of that now do you sir?" He just had to say oh no of course not..

Omg! I just had my first pretrial services visit to Jams. yay! NOT! So I went and couldn't pee. Ok great, I had to wait outside. I went and drank like 60 some odd oz. of coffee and water. They said I only had until 9:15 am to pee. Mind you I had drank coffee and water an hour before I went there at 7:30 am. There was so much pressure. I tried 4 times and couldn't. It wasn't the fact that they watchedme in the bathroom. Idc about that. It was that they told me that if I didn't give urine, I was noncompliant and would report me. I started to cry right there in the office. I don't need this crap. I plead no contest to drunk and disorderly. Why the hell are they drug testing me? I don't mind the testing because the only thing in my system is what's prescribed by my doctor. It was the fear that was instilled in me because I couldn't pee which made it worse. At 9:20 I begged for 1 more shot at it. They gave it to me. I sat on that toilet praying to God. I finally peed. Then of course the sink in the bathroom doesn't work so you can't even run water to help or wash your hands for that matter. Then I went into the next room where there was a hand sink. Then my specimen had to go out to the lab. I know it's clean but I don't trust them. There was a guy in there who was sober but had to blow 3 times due to faulty equipment or shall we call it a glitch. This shit scares me! It's ridiculous! It's not fair! I feel traumatized. And the really messed up part is that there's nothing I about it! I've been a model citizen for 8 years. I stupid mistake to have a few too many at home and spaz out has now resulted in all this mess. I was at home that night. I ran amuk through my neighborhood and my husband called because he was afraid I was going to get hurt. Now I'm fucked. I've never acted like that before in my life. I had various people write letters and come to court with me to stand in my corner but it didn't matter. I get sentenced on jan. 30th. It's all about the money. They just want that almighty dollar. I even had my doctor run a tox screen which came back negative for any illicit drugs. If I was charged for an alcohol offense, why the fuck am I being harassed for illicit drugs? I blew in the machine and it was completely negative, duh!!!!!!! I don't even drink that much. I don't even mind being alcohol tested. This whole experience has left me all messed up mentally and emotionally! I don't know what to do. It's becoming a police state here in Michigan. You can't even have a few drinks at home anymore. I don't even smoke pot but I'm seriously considering getting my green card just so I can try that and calm the hell down. If you are on probation they do honor the green card. And that makes me furious because they say no illegal drugs but you can smoke weed if you have a green card. I have severe medical problems. I'm on lorcet, soma, adipex and Xanax. These med have been helping me. I've made substantial progress and my doctor is very proud. We are working to prevent spine surgery. If they think I'm going to stop my medical therapy now, they are out f their fucking minds! I don't abuse my meds at all, in fact I even take less than I'm supposed to. Thank God I have insurance that pays for mental health because after today, I now need a therapist as well! So I've been ordered to substance abuse counseling through the state, which I have to pay for when my insurance covers that too. By the time all this is said and done, it's going to cost me about 2,000.00$ in fines, court costs and probation. This is just what my family needs during the hardest 3 months of the year. So now I'm worried if my specimens are tampered with or I blow with faulty equipment, I will probably be violated and go straight to jail. What bullshit. I work hard, my husband and I support 7 boys.

Don't make since payn for a lawyer when he workn for or with the court sytem against you.When I met my lawyre he told me he love his job so much he not gone charge me that much and that he does some work for the court also the court pays him. My lawyer told me to dress up, look presentable in court. Can't help but to take of myself the best way I know how anyway but I'm not rich I just look good. NEVER dropped dirty. I just got caught with a 3.5 MARRY J. And going threw all this. My lawyer told me after court the judge never asked anybody to pay the full court fee's &fines upfront. I have been on JAMS testing since August of 2012. I had to do random alcohol and drug testing once a week until my sentencing which was in November. I never had a positive for drugs or alcohol. After sentencing, I was ordered to continue alcohol once a week and drug once a month randomly. Considering I don't do drugs or drink I was ok with it. It was only 3 more months. On January 8, my drug screen came back with opiates and benzo in my system. I know this isn't my test, and that it got mixed up with someone elses. I called my PO, gave her the line that this isn't my test, of course she didn't believe me. I have since had to hire a lawyer, as well as pay to have a hair follicle test done to prove that it wasn't my sample. Of course, my hair came back negative. I understand that my PO did what she is supposed to do by law, but that doesn't change the fact that I am now out more money because JAMS mixed my sample up with someone elses. Now I have to pay the price. I don't have a lot of money, live on my own and a full time student, so to have these added costs is a burden on me. It's one of those things that if I did it I would own up to it. Needless to say, if I get more things added to my probation because of this I will be suing JAMS. Because of their eff up I have had to miss time from work, school, and pay more out of pocket costs.
I go to the Jams in Madison Heights I am on the color Bronze. I'm supposed to drop 3 times a month and am not exactly sure how many times for PBT testing, I pay 9 bucks for drug and PBT AND 4 bucks for just PBT DAYS. It is very hard for me to urinate with someone staring but I try to drink as much water as I can 2 hours before and force myself not to use the bathroom. I still haven't been convicted I'm going through 48th district court with the lovely Kimberly Smalls (lol) I hope she takes me off this BS I was pulled over for driving with a suspended license but she dropped it to no opps but I still have to o through this bs.
The color does not determine the type of test you are scheduled to take on a particular day, that is determined by your individual file. I have had a different test than others of the same color on any given day.
Here is another one for the JAMS book. I called their office a week or two ago to ask a couple of general questions about their so called service. I just wanted to know if in the event I was not close to a JAMS facility could I test someware else. The rude person I spoke with would not even let me finish my question before talking over me, at that point I asked if the web site and the call in number was accurate. I told her that for whatever reason it seems sometimes they do not match. That started a shit storm and I was told I had better have proof because their site is 100% accurate. Well I took her advice and started compairing daily, not only that I take a screen shot and save it. So Monday 3/18 I checked the site @6:30AM for my color Plumb, it was not listed so went about my day, I got home about 6:45PM after attending alcohol class opened my laptop and refreshed the JAMS page and lo and behold my color was now listed and two colors that were listed eariler there were gone. Well I picked up the phone and called JAMS and told them what I found, they went right into the speach about how they don't make mistakes and that went on until I told the bitch that I had proof and I was forwarding a copy to my Lawyer and if they did not contact my PO ASAP I was going to take action. Two days later I got a text from them saying I could come in any time that week and it was their mistake. Since then I have documented three more days in the same week that the colors drop off and new ones are added. FYI folks you had better cover your ASS with these FUCKS.

I have made numerous attempts over the last several months to contact Jams via phone and either I have to leave a message that is either Not returned or returned 5 to 7 business days later. When I happen to get someone Live on the phone I get an incomplete, condescending answer. I read your mission statement and I was under the impression that you were out to help folks that need an alternative to jail time so that they could continue to pay their debt to society and provide for their family. Well I guess that is a good thing? Helping society that is a good thing? But what I don’t agree with is the statement I received today 3/18/2013 “ If the web site doesn’t have the correct information maybe you should stop using it” furthermore “It is run by a third party” and “we will have to find out what is going on” and “I should not use the web site “Really? If that is the case than TAKE THE SITE DOWN! Period. How many folks Like myself had the potential to get Violated by their probation officer due to the fact that YOUR site contained Incorrect and Conflicting information? I am ALSO part of this B.S. testing with JAMS! I am very thin and only smoked a few hits a day. I have a HIGH metabolism and haven smoked ANYTHING for OVER 53 days, is there an INEXPENSIVE private lab in Wayne County I can go to to make SURE Urine is clean, so I don't have to sweat so much?
I'm blue and that is testing once a week. Do I still have to call every day to see if my color is called or am I done for the week since it's monday and I tested this morning?
The second week in February my color was not up at all on the website. When I had a court date, LeDuc said I failed to test on the 7th. I began printing the daily colors for proof and it happened again the week of March 17-23 that Lilac was not listed all week. I sent them a message with, of course, no response. At least I have my printouts to protect me for my next court appearance.
I also take issue with the inconsistent fees, and being required to test as part of bond with no conviction is guilty until proven innocent.
When testing for JAMS, can they tell what type of benzo you have taken? I have a script for Xanax but my friend gave me Ativan for a panic attack. If I take the Ativan, can they tell the difference? Thank you!

The Jams in Westland makes you feel very uncomfortable while trying to pee at times. They are disrespectful and are quick to make you retest if your piss is to clear or if you can't pee within two minutes. The guy gave me two minutes and then made me get back in line to retest and pay $6 again. They got an attitude with me and then the supervisor came in and told me to come back the next day because they were closing when there was still a guy behind me which they let drop. They seem somewhat racist and frustrate you until pissing is almost impossible. It's like they enjoy giving you a hard time. They enjoy having the power to dictate in your life. I check the website and call the hot line and two times I've seen where the hotline lady doesn't call a color,but the website does, so I told the person working when I tested and they said oh I told my manager and they haven't got back to me, it was 630pm, so I told him well a lot of people are going to go to jail and the three employees Laughed out loud, I didn't know what to said, so my suggestion is calling the hotline and going on the Internet checking Both for your color. I also take screen shots of the website so you have proof that your color was called or not,because I don't trust the hotline.
I've had two false positive EtG tests through JAMS already, one I spent two days in jail for already back in August, and another that I'm awaiting a court hearing on. I haven't had anything to drink in 10 months, avoid ANYTHING with alcohol (mouthwash, medicine, hand sanitizer, foods, etc.), have an un-home breathalyzer that I do twice daily, and just got rid of my Interlock that I had to blow into every 5 minutes while driving (but that's a whole other complaint.) What I don't like is that, both times, it took SIX WEEKS for JAMS to notify my PO about the positive results, far too long for me to go back and drop again to prove it was false. The location I use (Roseville) has it posted on their wall that their lab holds the samples for 60 days in case you need to contest your results, but no contact information is given on how to go.about doing this, and none of the employees will give me the information (and attempts to contact "the main office" via email has resulted in no replies.) It's all very unprofessional and shady, not to mention that, as well as testing for EtG, they should also be testing for EtS for more conclusive proof of drinking.
I'm in the process of scheduling appointments for hair follicle and nail testing to prove I have not been drinking, both of which are much more reliable tests for substance consumption since they don't show "incidental" exposure or outside contamination, and am going to switch testing companies if I don't end up going to jail - again - for this.

JAMS is a total scam. I am supposed to go PBT 5x times a week and drug test 1x a month, due to a OWI. Since I have been going since last week I have drug tested just about every day. I am going to do as recommended and test at ADAM. This place is a SCAM!!!!
Realistically it is what is, I had my first offense in 08 at age 24 and had no problem with my once a month blows. Now I am fighting my second offense which I feel is erroneous, but for every person who just comes in and urinates there's probably 5 people who try to smuggle urine in. I have social amiexty am do found a way to urinate infront of strangers. The dudes I've dealt with would pry do anything else than stare at someone's cawk.

You can view all of the public information on your case. You can check to see if they have sent you a letter about a probation violation, so you can find out sooner than when it arrives in the mail.
If you are on probation in Novi, please tell other Novi defendants about this website so they can check the status of their case.
The Novi court is so egotistical. They include information on their website announcing that they have joined the Michigan Case look up system, but they fail to list a link to the website. The Novi court said they are going to update their website soon. But they joined the system in 2011 and its now 2013.
If you have to do frequent random pbt's per week you might consider getting an in-home alcohol testing unit. It costs about $100.
Of course, I don't think probation officers are helpful enough to tell people that they have this option. You have to know about it to ask.

Judge Mackenzie has recently come under fire from the Novi Prosecutors office for fabricating court documents with out a Prosecutor present in the court room. In addition to that he has also reduced sentences for defendents of serious crimes and made the public records disappear. While his discretion and demeanor towards defendants who are accused of just simple misdemeanors is to put it simply ridiculous. Automatic sending to two years of probation, with jams testing. Oh and did I mention that the Freepress published a story yesterday about his ties to the company itself. The plot thickens--apparently he is the president of the Michigan Association of Drug court Professional or some shit. A public interest group which recieves large sums of money from you guessed it drug testing facilities. Can you also guess which testing company is a big doner? Not only that but 8 months after the dude is president of the company he, his wife, on a whim decides to apply for the position of executive director of the association and recievs a 40,000$ pension and 4,000$ bonuses.As well as paid travel expenses. Who funds all of that companies like JAMS. And at Novi, when the judge or probation officer requires you to take a random test right there on the spot, who is actually giving the tests? JAMS. Oh and did I mention Mackenzies sun worked their for 16 months. People need to become more outraged at things like this, and protest, so people like this can't abuse their power for financial or political reasons. When ever you go to JAMS for testing, be sure to get a receipt. Based on the previous comment, it might even be a good idea to have them write the time on the receipt.
Has JAMs closed even more locations recently? Their latest document on locations was changedin Nov 2013. Have they posted on their website or in the offices which offices may have closed. If an office has closed, they need to notify people. I also think the intake form needs to tell people to bring extra money because they have to pee when they show up.
They are also increasing the price now another dollar...like seriously...fu k I spend atleast 250$ on gas and drop money a month...this is getting nuts
Jams employees are drug tested at where else but JAMs. They should test at a different company to avoid the possibility and appearance in impropriety.
I asked JAMs employees if they could post the prices in a frame on the wall. They looked at me like I was from Mars. Please give us respect by posting the current prices. It will also help to prevent arguments at testing locations. It is a win win situation which costs only $2.
If you switch from one testing company to a different testing company, ask your po if he/she can ask JAMS to waive the intake fee. You already paid the intake once, so you might get out of paying for it twice.
Another idea to avoid jams fees is to take lots of vacations out of state. - ha.
a year ago I was pulled over while driving home from the bar. had 2 beers in 2 hours. blew .02 and blood test later confirmed that. I had the medical marijuana card at the time and the cop noticed it as I put my drivers license away. he instantly knew I'd fail a blood test for marijuana so he claimed he smelled it in the car and used my slightly cracked sunroof as an excuse that I was getting high in the car. I wasn't. I know better than that. I had smoked 7 hours previous to being pulled over and clearly was not high. he forced me to do a sobriety test in the middle of a blizzard with 40mph gusts, I obviously failed. they took my blood and I spent 12 hours in the drunk tank because I might have been a little high (I wasn't.) 9 months later I get a letter in the mail saying there is a warrant for my arrest. for the fucking love of god I would have shown up to court without a warrant... anyway. magistrate instantly puts me on twice a week jams. eventually I get to Mackenzie and he makes one of his special backroom deals to avoid going to a jury trial (he hates jury trials). little did I know he would make probation virtually impossible, he dropped my charge to reckless driving and put me on 2 years of jams, AA twice a week (I have never had a problem with alcohol) drug counseling, MADD etc etc etc. so fucking villainous. FUCK YOU NOVI. FUCK YOU MACKENZIE. AND FUCK YOU JAMS.
Ok, So I was assigned to breathalyze 2 times a week, and drop 2 times a month. Upon my intake they called my court to verify this. The color they assigned me is being called 3 times a week. I asked them about it but they refuse to give me a straight answer. I asked them " you have colors that are assigned to only be called 2 times a week right?". To their credit the did definitively answer me yes. I then asked "Well If thats the case then why is mine being called more?" They said "it's random" . I told them I understand that but did you assign. me a color that is called more than 2 times a week? They said if I had a question I should call theyre support line, but they (being the employees at the Farmington Hills office) were the one's who assgined me the color, not a corporate decision that was out of their hands. I believe that they deliberately assigned me a color that is ment to test more than what I am required so that I pay more than I'm expected too. This is textbook fraudulent behavior, not just a random act of negligence, and I believe I can establish a clear pattern of premeditated misconduct on their part, but any case I wish too devolpe is going to need more people to be stronger. I would like for anyone else who believes they have clear proof of illegal pratice on their part to email me at jamsinjustice@gmail.com . I encourage anyone who wishes to come forward to please do several things: 1) Restrict all claims to purely factual, clear and unbaised statements. 2) start tape recording all and any visits at jams, and ask them questions that will force them to lie, or admit any posssiable wrong doing. 3) tape record the colors that are being called in the morning when you call in, and log your vists. I know a hustle when I see one, and these people are clearly behaiving in deliberately negligent manner that is definable as criminal. If you feel as I do, and wat to actually do something about it then all we simply need to do is accurately gather evidence and let the facts speak for themselves. This outfit is reckless and feel they can opperate with impunity , which means that they will make irrefutable mistakes that even the most corrupt judicial system will he forced to acknowldge. But if we truely want justice its up to us to build a case, no one is going to do it for us, and no one else is in a better position to catch them red handed. I encourage people to tape record( avoid using a cellphone to not violate their policy). Also if you fear that they are stating you violated a urine test when you know you didnt, i advise you to find a method to provide a specien each day you test, (possiably arange with physician to provide and store your samples. We can find other measures to ensure quality check aginst their results. Im not saying it's going to b 3 easy, but they are sloppy and will inevitably hang themselves.
Hey All! Yes jams must die and does suck. I'm finally off and have some sober and candid advice. Jams is better than jail, but not by much. The location and people also make a difference. The creepy old man at Rochester Hills last year was creepy and old. My first drop was as no go. The signs on the walls are not comforting a bit. Vicodin is heroin light was the best one. Its really a terrible experience going the first and every time. The staff can be rude depending on a million variables. The other crazy thing is that you can drink your ass off till about 9 p.m.every night and blow 0.0 the next morning.I know blood tests are more money, but how bout one a month? less labor for jams and less materials used. Yes, its a money grab and the whole secret ownership deal is crazy. My last call out was the times the hotline was wrong or had to be up dated after initial release. A few times the(I assume) black lady would read the rules and forget the colors. I also loved to hear her kids in the background sometimes screaming while she read colors. I also could tell when she was sick or getting sick or when she called in. Lastly, I hated when she said it would be busy and no one would be there and vice versa. I'm so glad I'm done with that shit. One more thing......Guys,take a 2 before you go or you will make it tough to go. I developed a 12 hour routine than had a good drop method. I hate seems people all bummed out and not able to perform. Peace out!!

JAMS is set up against the clients, almost to create circumstances to make them fail. After all, you failing benefits them.

I did some research in Lansing. JAMS is not owned by any judges or judges relatives. It is owned by four people in Pontiac MI. Nova Testing does have owners who are related to District Court Judges. You can verify this for yourself at the State of Michigan web site for Assumed Names and DBA records in the County offices.

I've been testing for all of 1 week now, and already found 2 discrepancies between what colors the recording called, and what the site said. I feel bad for the guy that's gonna get screwed by JAMS error not knowing he was supposed to test. Unreal.
Unfortunately I have been dealing with this places for nearly 10 years on and off... I have seen it all and been through most of it, I've been through court over false positives and not maintaining records I came bit I thought I figured it out and had been without issues for quite some time untill now.... I worked 5 am to 930 am and rushed straight to jams to do my breathlyzer and to my surprise I blew a .01, had me wait 10 minutes and another employee using a different machine tested a .18.. then immediately the used the first machine and had a reading of .010... I had not drank but assumed it was because the enclosed painting I had been doing... I immediately asked to do a etg but they said I must come back the following morning because by this time it was 20 mins after they closed.. I returned first thing the next morning and got an etg.. I felt better untill my po decided the positive breathlyzer was more accurate then the negative etg.... what the fuck ??? Now it looks like I might have to lawyer up and lose thousands because of someone's opinion? What us more reliable etg or breathlyzer? ? And ohh yeah fuck jams...
Lol. For one, getting tested for specific substances has NOTHING to do with what you were "caught" with. If you are caught with with weed, they will still test you for an array of drugs. Two, normally a 5 panal drug test will test for benzos, idk what "adultrants" are. Three, oxycotin does NOT show up as opiates. Neither does suboxone, methadone, ect.
I've been clean for months. now they're telling the court that the amount of pot in my system is rising, ive came in drunk, and I have failed to show up. it's all a lie yet I have proof from my log. Fuck Jams! Do not test here
I test in oxford I do not do any drugs or alcohol yet test positive for marijuana which I don't even use how is this even possible???? I protested the result and still waiting on that and that result will force me to have independent labs done if still positive just to not do 3 days in jail on macomb county's intense urine program. What blows my mind is I heard a lady I think that same day I'm showing positive for say she too showed positive for marijuana and she swears she doesn't use it either so who else is showing positive on tests they know they didn't do and how do we prove their tests are wrong!!!!!!!

One time I was 100 percent sober a cop pulled me over leaving a party and said he pulled me over bc I "used my brakes too early"??? I did use them early but that's bc my brales were going out at the time....so he pulled me over I passed all the test yet he still insisted on breathalizing me but before he handed it to me he whipped it with something that when he put it up to my mouth smelled like it much have been am alcohol pad, so although I was sober I managed to blow a 0.28 and when I tried to fight it in court it was a officer of the law against a falsely accused drunk so I post and now my life is ruined

Anyone going to JAMS you MUST cover your own ass, literally. Though I am not going there anymore they tried like hell to violate me for something I knew I did not do, and after speaking to many I have found this happens alot they try to violate you for usually what you were arrested for. In my case it was a joke and I knew it was wrong so I ordered a hair follicle test to prove to them I had nothing to do with any drug period and lets just say the judge was NOT happy about that, this means they could not put me in jail which is more $$$ for them, no more testing which is no more money from me anymore. Then come to find the test they tried to violate me for wasnt even my urine, yep you got that right wasnt even my urine. They tried to violate me for a test done on 8/20 in Warren when first off I was in JAMS on 8/21 not 8/20 and I do NOT go to Warren I went to Oxford so the lab was in complete negligence or it was a failed set up to have me violated. I can not stress enough cover your ass, I even considered having a dip test done each time at my cost with results they'd have to sign for before sending my urine out. But thank god this all happen at the end of their infamous IUP program and I was done in fact I went beyond my end date because no one bothered to close my case off I had to call multiple people to get that done so I would not be violated for not showing up. JAMS is all about money and how they can get money from you and keep you in the system. I would love others to contact me through a facebook page I started to get together as many people as I can to get the stories out to a attorney to have the lab violated for negligence and JAMS stopped in their tracks for trying to screw innocent people over. Does any body know if jams test for specific drugs and metabolites? Or do they just test for the broad drug category? For example would heroin and vicodin both just show up as an opiate? Or would the test specify and show which specific drug you are using? I no there are tests that differentiate from each drug and metabolite But those are very expensive. I there is a problem with your urine sample...either you didn't pass or it wasn't a testable sample. Does Jams let you know right then or do they just contact your probation officer?
Yes, if you are being tested for drugs through saliva blood or urine they are testing you for everything. It will show up unless you've done it weeks ago. I really don't think that's what this blogspot is about though'

Yeah, they test for hydrocodone. You need to ask if you are being drug tested or only Alcohol tested. Are you doing a saliva test, if so the container will have blue liquid in the bottom when you look at it. No liquid is just alcohol but the paper you sign every time will list what they're testing for. I hope that helped! Also I believe that the people who sign up to watch people pi$$ all day have either a urine fetish or they get off on power and humiliation. Sick Fu(k$!!!!!

The people are nice the prices are great and the best thing of all the place is really clean and everyone is so great, they treat you with respect. They are located on Harper just south of Masonic. Great place check it out. Great Hours also. Just tell the probation dept. you want to transfer they will transfer you. Good Luck to everyone!

there is a $10 test for alcohol and drugs and a $10 test just for drugs.but since you are getting the ETG screen I'm sure you're getting the alcohol and drug test.and they will breathalyze you too.the ETG screen is a test that goes back up to 80 hours for alcohol.

I was once a client at Jams. I know how frustrating the system can be and was once in your shoes. I made a free app to download that reminds you of colors that have been called. Testing Reminder is the app name available on the market. Download now to see if your color has been called! The other application I am competing with is not free(trying to take more of your money). Just know I made this for us first. Also wouldn't you rather use an application by someone that has been in your shoes? Or download the other one that some lawyer made and pay him. Testing Reminder is the answer! Good luck and time goes by quick. You'll be over that in no time.
There is a great App that i use and It is called "Court Test". It has been awesome ever since i had it, honestly. They have an exclusive agreement with JAMS from everyone has told me. I know that they are on both Apple and Android. Truthfully, i don't mind paying $5 a month for the sense of relief that they have given me while i am going through probation and this stress.
I am not sure if i would trust myself with any other App that is being offered on sensitive subject that is NOT directly offered through the company directly.... If anyone is interested, here is the web address. I highly recommend this App.

I agree very unconstitutional. I just got arrested for a crime that I didn't commit. It had nothing to do with drugs and alcohol and at my arraignment they told me I had to report to jams for drug and alcohol testing before my pretrial hearing.I haven't been convicted of a crime so how can they order me to Jams? INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY? I went yesterday for my first appointment and had to pay ten dollars for my drug screen and alcohol test and everything went good BESIDES SOME GUY THAT LOVES LOOKING AT YOUR PENIS. I called the next morning and the letter B was called so I had to go again for a drug test and pay them more money. I arrived at jams after working all day and the same guy watched my pee again. I handed him the sample and he told me it was diluted. WTF? I drink water throughout the day to keep myself hydrated because my doctor told me to drink more water. He told me that I would get violated if he turned it in. VIOLATED? How? He watched me pee? I don't even do drugs so I got upset because I felt like I was going to jail for something I didn't do. I came back 2 hours later to test again and he still didn't except my pee because it wasn't yellow enough. WTF? I wanted to protect myself from being violated so I took out my phone and started video taping myself peeing into a cup and handing it to the loser employee. He told me I wasn't allowed to video tape anything inside the jams facility. Why can't I? Is their a new law that says I can't use my phone that I don't know about? This place is a joke and violates our constitutional rights and needs to be stopped. Why should I have to pay another ten dollars? I gave them what they wanted? I began JAMS this morning and it is extremely hard to go as someone stares at you, plus you have 2 minutes to do it? I didnt know that and didnt give him enough of a sample, so he told me to go grab something to drink and come back in 15 minutes. I went to the car and chugged a bottle of propel I had, and went back in there. He gave me the same cup, without emptying in, so I could finish. I was able to finish but had to initial the top of the cup after he placed a "tamper" sticker over the top. Is this going to be okay?? I'm kind of scared it was contaminated somehow.
WWAM, you are basically a free work crew for the weekend. I had to help build play gound equipment at a park near Orion. You wont have to do anything to hard, ull probably be picking up garbage, or shoveling.

Is this type of thing still going on? I am being randomly tested for PBT's 2x's weekly (when I registered I looked at thier breathalyzer and wondered when the last time it had been calibrated was & also here is your blow straw you hang onto it and don't lose it for the next year, every time you replace it, it is $1) Also, the day I registered there was not a female there! I remember from when I had my DUI your supposed to wash your hands first to minimize any contamination of your sample such as hair products,. Lotions etc. JAMS wont let you wash your hands first. Also, the place is filthy I informed Waterford of this - NONE of them have ever been to a JAMS facility! Then I was told it will be over soon (1 yr) I got a harsh sentence because the PO did not like the fact I was about to get into the first offender program - which was deserved. I have no criminal history except 1 DUI which my Lawyer, the Judge, and Prosecution knew about. What ticked her off is I am still under medical care and will be evee for the duration of my Probation, meaning I am on several prescription drugs, 2 are strong opiates and there is nothing she can do about it. Anyway, this facility is disgusting. I would much rather pay more and know my samples are being handled correctly and go to the Oakland County facility on Crooks Rd.

I have been Givin jams testing for chemical testing. I have gone here some times before. I am just wondering if you can't pee and show an effort being made will your po work with you to change the kind of test your givin. I have tried 5 times in a row to do a urine test and all 5 times I couldn't go. Will they violate me? The 33rd district court says they don't do the mouth swabs so im wondering if I have other options. I have extremely high stage freight. I can't go with someone looking at me or rushing me.now it affects me at work to, I can't pee at work now. I had to go to the hospital so I could get catheterized so I could provide a drug screen, they wanted urine I wanted go give them urine. My lawyer is working on being the judge to let me do a hair follicle test at my own expense. I'm just wondering if I have any other options other then a urine test. If not I'm set up to fail and might as well turn myself in. I can't force my body to do something I know it can't do. This jams thing has ruined my life I can't eat or sleep. I'm always worried I can't stop thinking about it. I don't drink or do any drugs. I'm just running game out of options. Any help will be much appreciated. Does anyone know if the ETG test they give only test for alcohol or does it test for weed and other things too. They have me doing 4 ETG tests a month which are $15 dollars each and then every other week I get this other kind of test that says its for drugs and alcohol which costs $11. So to make the question clear does weed show up for a ETG test?
Same thing happened to me, lady said urine was not yellow enough and spilled it out while I was washing my hands. I told her I want a pic of it and she said too late I dumped it..... wtf....I got them on voice recorder telling me not to drink water for 24 to 48 hrs before testing.....

A - It can somewhat depend on if you specifically got caught with Oxycontin or not. If you did the odds are that they WILL test for Oxycontin. BUT ALSO they test 95% of their "clients" for 5 "things": THC(Weed), opiates, cocaine, Methamphetamine & adulterants. I hope that you realize that Oxycontin WILL cause you to test positive for opiates and that will cause them to send your "sample" out to a lab(charge you $25) for confirmation of the positive result and then the lab will determine what specific type of opiate you are testing positive for. I hope this helps you out and please spread the word about this site and if I get enough complaints from current & past JAMS clients & even their families we all might be able to put a stop to JAMS or AT LEAST get them regulated and have their employees DRUG TESTED & certified in drug testing, both of which they ARE NOT!
Remember this, If you know that you will test positive when your color comes up you will get into LESS trouble missing a test then testing positive! I AM NOT telling you to not test I am just giving you information.

This place is a rip off. Let's see, where to start..... 1st I don't think they properly calibrate their pbt's because I blew a .010 one morning and I swear I didn't drink anything because I don't like jail very much. Thank god my lawyer ($2000) got me out of it. 2nd they keep switching their rules and shit up, one day I'm paying 6 bucks to blow, the next day I can buy a plastic piece to bring with me so I don't have to pay anymore, then the next day I have to pay again. 3rd, according to them my piss was adulterated 3 times in a row, I had to pay $48 before I supposedly gave them some acceptable piss, I don't do drugs by the way. Finally, it is bullshit because on the weekends I can only test in the morning, it's not like I can piss on the drop of a dime, I need at least a 12-18 hour notice, not fucking 1-5. So whenever I go in on the weekends, I can hardly ever piss and continously have to go back, make sure I don't drink any water, don't take any vitamins and not know whether or not I have to pay the $12 over again. FUCKING BULLSHIT!!!

I CAN NOT believe that the courts would go through a company like JAMS where the employees ARE NOT even drug tested themselves or even certified in drug testing and specimen collection. People's freedom is on the line and these money grubbing courts would rather make more profits then having their probationers tested properly! I myself even tested positive for morphine, a drug that I NEVER have done! PLEASE let more people know about this site and have them post their complaints and horror stories and just maybe we can get them shut down! When I was going to JAMS I would go dumpster diving and find people's PBT and/or drug test results usually with their FULL NAME, ADDRESS, COURT & OFFENSE! I even found full case files of previous "clients"! JAMS is so interested in making as much money as they can that they DO NOT even have a SHREDDER, the most I have seen them do is rip the file(s)in half! I want to find more people to help me collect all the things that they throw away & do not shred with people's personal info on it and contact those people when I have enough and try to get a class action lawsuit going on that crooked ass company! Please contact me again and lets try and get more people that go to JAMS on our side collecting info and evidence of them mishandling peoples personal info(a HIPPA violation)! DO NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT ANY OF THIS TO JAMS! Play this one close to your chest because once they find out then they will start trying to cover their tracks and we DO NOT want that. Hydrocodone is also an opiate, so yes, they test for it. It's one of the most popular drugs that people look for (Hydrocodone = Vicodin).
I disagree. If the drug test is a standard 5 panel screening then Oxycontin/Hydrocodone will not show up. If they use a more advanced test like a 12 panel test then Oxy/Hydro will show up. Anyone know what type of testing that they use?
They do a 10 panel screen. They do test for hydrocodone. Bring whatever prescriptions you have with you. I had surgery when I was on probation and they gave me vidcodin and percoset for the pain. Tested positive for both and had to provide proof of prescription. Good luck.
Ok, so once it was declared that I had to take randoms through jams i got as straight as I was when I was 6 years old, and on my third test, I was violated. They wouldn't disclose what I tested possitive for, which I think is well within my right to know. There were three employees in the testing area that were all handling money, eating lunch and handling multiple urine samples.
When I was filling my cup i asked the guy watching me if he ever got people who were too shy, to which he replied crassly, "yeah and I just tell 'em to pee or I'll cut their dicks off."
Wow. How professional. I told my probation officer about this at my violation hearing and said I refused to return. She had me do my remaining random tests in the mens room of the court. No further problems.

Here's one for you. Have you guys heard of the new ETG? It tests for alcohol back 72-80 hrs. So get this. My boyfriend goes to Jams 3 times a week. Twice a week they do an ETG and a breathalizer. If the ETG shows alcohol for up to 72-80 hrs why should he have to pay $5 for a breathalizer. Isn't that redundent? In addition. Over the last 6wks before his court date he easily spent an excess of over $250 on JAMS screens. So, he goes to court and gets sentenced to 30 days in Macomb for not showing up for probation and another 30 days if we don't come up with $320. We would have easily had the $320 if the judge hadn't of made him do 3 JAMS a week between pre-trial and sentencing. So, it just ended up costing the tax payers more money. And I could start a whole other blog on conditions and goings on at Macomb County Jail.
Okay, I will give you some up-to-date information. Currently Jams sends out about 90% of the specimens to lab now and test clients from specific courts on-site. This is a request from the individual court. The no-disclosure information is in the paperwork they have you sign to start the program. This is also request by the court for some stupid reason.
Either the Judge I went in front of or someone he knows is profiting off JAMS. Dennis Leduc, The Romeo Michigan is sending everyone including me to JAMS and I have not even been tried or conviced of anything. I was charged with a disturbing the peace but at arrainment he said I have to take drug and alcohol test 2 to 3 times a week at 9 to 14 dollars apiece. Guilty until innocent I guess. He gives everyone who goes before him drug tests before sentencing even if they have never even been charged with a drug or alcohol offence so it has to be money and punishing people before they are tried or convicted is flat out unconstitutional

He does this before you are even tried or convicted. He sent me there the day I was arraigned for a noise violation. I have to pay to every week to prove I am not guilty of taking drugs and/or alcohol even thou I wasn't charge with a drug or alcohol offense.He also said I cannot drink, I don't anyway but being in my thirties his tyrannical rule bothers me. Either him or someone he is close too is financially benefiting from every person that enters his courtroom, you are guilty. until proven innocent. I don't like how we feel hurried. I have parueresis and a lot of you do and no what it's like to have this problem. One of these days, I'm not going to be able to pee after trying at night and the next morning (got lucky on my 2nd attempt in the morning) and end up in jail because they don't have a better way to make you feel more comfortable. I used to have to drug test before in troy...at the troy courts but it was all good... You walked in and sat in a BIG, COMFORTABLE lobby and when your name was called, follow the guy to the bathroom, take your coat off...take of all belt, watch, coat etc... and then you walked into a stall and did your business as opposed to JAMS where they STARE STARE STARE!!! I have been going to the jams in milford after being caught with a pipe and a few empty baggys of spice and ambien which i used for sleep but was refused when i given the court and jams the perscription saying because it was out of the bottle it was illegal. Jams than goes to my doctor and nulls my script for ambien, i have thyroids and i can no longer sleep. Aside from that i have to pay 80$ for 1 single drug screening because spice costs that much to test for along with the normal panel, and here i was thinking it was legal considering you can buy it at any head shop or gas station! So now im broke, cant sleep and living at my parents house untill this all blows over completely screwing my life up. Lost my girlfreind, my job, and any hopes of receiving one. And now theyre telling me i have to pay another 70$ after my last 70$ test was found "diluted" which i had no intention of doing. I sure hope u guys are doing something against drug testing all together because its the biggest intrusion into ones personal life and rights.

The day after the superbowl 2012 jams called special instructions for 48th district court calling all of there colors...except mine (coral). I thought it was odd. I went to jams novi and they were testing that color. If i would of not gone i would of been violated. PAM the manager told me I should just know and if I had a problem with it I should leave. Well im making an official complaint with the states attorney general because this is now the second time it has happened to me. The other time was on july 16 2011. I was violated for missing a jams appoitment. I always claimed they never called my color and now this reassures me that I was right.
First, I personally don't have test for JAMS but my boyfriend does and my dad did a few times. But here is what I can say about JAMS- Sportyman29 your right, heres a second reassurances not only have they claimed to have called my boyfriends color (aqua) when they in-fact never called it, they have also told his probation officer that he tested on a day that they didn't call his color (a thursday) and then never tested on the day that they called his color (a saturday). JAMS is the biggest rip off ever, the only thing that they do is profit off of everyones money that is given to them. Not only do they lie and steal; they are also so rude- there are testing sites that act like everyone that walks through their doors are criminals- not everyone that tests was caught drunk driving or caught with drugs some were just flat out forced which is bs. So at this point not only does my boyfriend keep track of what days he has gone in and testing (he makes them sign, date, and put what he blew) I also keep track in a notebook. I put the date, the online am/pm colors, the online pm/am colors and I track by the phone. One complaint about the phone, whomever records the colors by phone needs to learn how to speak clearly because there are days when cream sounds like green; oh and you pretty much have to check both because there have been a couple times where the colors don't correlate with what is being said by phone and what is being put online. So advice for everyone who has to go test at JAMS keep track because they will fuck you over one way or another. Its all a big scheme from the courts to the probation officers to the testing sites. The judges know the heads of JAMS, the probation officers know the heads of JAMS. Its all a joke, and the biggest joke of them all is that we all know Judges, Lawyers, Police Officers and JAMS employees are all like everyone that they meet in their court rooms, the police stations, and the testing sites. They all have addictions, whether is drug addictions, pain pill addictions, alcohol addictions, gambling addictions, stealing addictions, or pornography addictions. The only difference is the law protects them, it doesn't protect the rest of society like it claims. Otherwise this website wouldn't exist. Thats all I have to say at this point.
Yeah i went to Jams and I hated it. I went to the one in Milford, they sucked. I am going to the new one in Holly called Journey drug and alcohol testing. they are pretty cool except this one guy is pretty much a douche but i only seen him twice. got no problems anymore.

If you guys hate JAMS so much go to Nova testing instead. They are always nice to us, the places are always clean and they don't try and rip you off. I've been on JAMS now for 18 months for a 2nd owi, I fully understand my wrong doing justifies a severe punishment, but over the last year and half jams has violated me twice! there mistake, once they change my color, just outta the blue? They should change their name from JAMS to SCAMS. I go to the Livernois office and it is filthy. The toilet seat has been broken for months and these scam artists are so "above the law" they are stupid enough to be selling illegal dvds and cds out the front door. They say a drug test and pbt is 9.00 but are charging me 37.00 and they think they are getting away with it. Im taking their asses to court. Always get receipts and keep good records of who took your sample because they have altered my drug test 3 times, but i was smart and went to my own testing site, now i can prove they tamper with the samples and the judges and probation officers are all working together like snakes do. contact the attorney general's office because there are power in numbers. i've even had a hair sample taken to get those dirty bastards and they are going down. their sites are unclean, they dont change their gloves after each test and i've witnessed them handle dirty money and take a sample or sometimes two. everytime i go they charge me a different price for the same test. that is like going to the same mcdonalds to get a big mac and each day it's a different price. they are dirty but they have audio and video tapes. request them as proof if you have been mistreated and when they dont bring them to court, then there testimony has no basis.
I go to the JAMS in roseville and once when I went they told me that I had to come back and retest because I didn't pee enough are you fucking kidding me maybe it would be a little easier if you didn't stare at me you peeping Tom freak. Well aside from what has already been said about them changing their policy without notice. I went the other day and was able to pee about half way in the cup. I stilled had 2 more chances in the past they would set it aside let me come back in a few and try again. Well guess what they poured my piss right down the drain. I was like what are you doing and yes the "short bus" kids they are said "Oh that's a new rule we don't do that anymore." The problem with this Blog is that for every one valid point, there are 20+ angry ignorant rants posted by substance abusers venting their frustration because Jams (or any testing facility) is cramping their style.
If I hadn't experienced Jams myself, I'd look at this blog and say..."typical, losers not taking responsiblity...its everyone elses fault". I agree that the Jams program is absolute BS and by definition government influenced organized crime!
There is a huge conflict of interest here! I'd say it is unconstitutional, however you can choose another testng facility. I know this, defense lawyers, many others including a few people posting here mentioned it, but of the thousands of people court ordered to test at JAMS do not and the courts know it. The mighty court with your life and freedom in their hands specifically orders you to random screenings AT JAMS! Not only that, increasingly often Jams testing orders are excessive and unwarranted. They seem to just throw it in! I think there is more than enough here to become suspicious.
How does this happen? We should be asking why and what is going on that JAMS testing is being misrepresented as the order, and by so many courts.
Jams should be investigated on so many levels, however if it can be proven that the justice system is being polluted and the public being exploited by threatening their freedom for the profit of a privately owned company (whether it be owned by a judge or not!?!?!?!?), the other issues migh can be evaluated and handled on another level.
I STRONGLY SUPPORT that drug and alcohol testing be ordered as terms of parole, probation and bond for drug and alcohol related offences. I believed that it was fair that I myself test during my probation period for my own offence. I would also like to make it known that I am not bitter or looking for an excuse. I never violated or had any false positives, in fact I had no issues with any of my results from JAMS during my 9 month probationary period. Thank god they were only PBT tests with a very small margin of error. I do testify to the fact that they are a very obviously mismanaged, sloppy, unprofessional operation and would never trust my freedom to this dirty mob EVER AGAIN! NOW that I am aware there is a choice of facilities unlike I was persuaded by the system.

Just got back from jams. As usual the policies have changed. Last time i went there is was free because i'm a minor. But this time i was charged (of course i had no money because they told me it was free last time) I'm starting to think they make up the rules as they go, which means, different people, different rules. yes i was being tested at jams in novi. 47 years old never had a drug or alcohol offense in my life, never had to blow in my life. my offense that landed me in front of a judge had nothing to do with alcohol or drugs.
No one explained to me the does or donts of being tested.
after three weeks of testing once a week (aqua) i violated. little did i know till after some research there is some many things that can cause a positive tst result.
Being a mechanic alot of things that i do and come into contact with can cause positive tst. chemicals, gasoline brake cleaners, etc. that morning i siphoned gas, then rinsed with mouth wash! another no no..
Being as i dont drink. i knew something else caused this.
even with a witness at court of what i had done that morn. and research papers i brought with me. my prob. officer wouldnt even look at it just told me if i go in front of judge with this i will go to jail.. soo i asked her you want me to lie?? being soo inexperience with the whole thing i said i drank. yess i know bigg mistake.
I cant afford a lawyer cant offord to lose my job either.
Sooo now i am testing at home 3 times a day!!
Then had an issue with the machine no violations ok. but insted of blowing 3 times i was blowing over 80 times a day just to get a proper test!

If you have taken or taking some kind of pain med with a script or not, a urine test will come up positive for opiates. soo have your current script bottle handy for them or for probation.
i was tested for alcohol only so they said. ha ha. but they found opiates and sent my test to the judge. even though i have had a script for quite a long time. its still cause some issue to get it straight.
My point being even if they tell you they are only testing for something if they find anything illegal on that test they will report it!
if you doubt the test results for any reason. go some where else as soon as possible get your own test done. the closer to the time of the faulty test the better.
if you know you will test positive on any kind of test you are better off to miss the test then come up positive. you will get in less trouble. i am not suggesting you should its just been from what i been told.

May be this blog can also be a place to share because "JAMS" is not going to die anytime soon. I saw new faces every visit, sadly they were mostly young. I noticed also new colors being added slowly. The train just keeps on rolling.
It's kind of funny the experiences we all share like dreaming you used or when you get paranoid because your color isn't called for several days so you call 3 times to make sure...
Thankfully I had the lightest color possible and was only ordered to give a morning PBT. So I was one of the lucky ones and have no real anger toward JAMS. I'm more mad at myself for getting caught OWI. I am surprised that the court wants to monitor our brain chemistry so deeply and punish offenders by not letting them party. It's especially weird when a case has nothing to do with drugs or alcohol and a probationer has to submit to testing. Attorneys should fight harder and refuse this type of agreement which is just illogical.
Lawyers also fail to inform clients the the #1 guide for sentencing is a Substance Abuse Evaluation. Through this psychometric test you are labeled with a risk %. The test in MI is based on the SASSI-3. If you know someone just getting into the system have them look up what this test is: a scan-tron read by a computer to decide if you are a liar! For example when asked if you have tried MJ, answer yes you have. Something like 70% of US citizens have tried MJ, if you say no you appear to be a liar. Never admit to trying anything harder, the computer will think you are a scum- bag addict. You will have to do at least one drug test after sentencing. Get clean for enough time to pass(1-2 months).
I can only give advice on drinking and morning PBT's. Be careful. Study the subject and know your metabolism. I'd say to be safe only drink slowly until 9:00 pm. If you do have a few until 1 in the morning do not go to sleep. You will have to chug glass after glass of water to urinate alcohol from your body. It's not fun or worth it to push it too late.
Stay safe and stay in control. The purpose of the punishment is to teach us order and discipline. Not partying, having a job, waking early EVERY day to call. It's a discipline that many of us were asking for in a sense. You have your whole life ahead of you. Get through this little BS test and then back to going anywhere and doing anything your heart pleases. Peace y'all!
I'm doing JAMS breathalyzers as a condition of my bond. Personally my view is that any requirement of a bond that is not related to preventing flight makes no sense as it has not been established I have done anything wrong. I haven't had my day in court as they say. There is the sense of a strong presumption of guilt throughout the system here. Don't get me started about how JAMS is owned by a judge's wife.

My experience with jams has led me to believe it is run by racists. If i were not white i would not have to even pee every meeting. Omg! I just had my first pretrial services visit to Jams. yay! NOT! So I went and couldn't pee. Ok great, I had to wait outside. I went and drank like 60 some odd oz. of coffee and water. They said I only had until 9:15 am to pee. Mind you I had drank coffee and water an hour before I went there at 7:30 am. There was so much pressure. I tried 4 times and couldn't. It wasn't the fact that they watchedme in the bathroom. Idc about that. It was that they told me that if I didn't give urine, I was noncompliant and would report me. I started to cry right there in the office. I don't need this crap. I plead no contest to drunk and disorderly. Why the hell are they drug testing me? I don't mind the testing because the only thing in my system is what's prescribed by my doctor. It was the fear that was instilled in me because I couldn't pee which made it worse. At 9:20 I begged for 1 more shot at it. They gave it to me. I sat on that toilet praying to God. I finally peed. Then of course the sink in the bathroom doesn't work so you can't even run water to help or wash your hands for that matter. Then I went into the next room where there was a hand sink. Then my specimen had to go out to the lab. I know it's clean but I don't trust them. There was a guy in there who was sober but had to blow 3 times due to faulty equipment or shall we call it a glitch. This shit scares me! It's ridiculous! It's not fair! I feel traumatized. And the really messed up part is that there's nothing I about it! I've been a model citizen for 8 years. I stupid mistake to have a few too many at home and spaz out has now resulted in all this mess. I was at home that night. I ran amuk through my neighborhood and my husband called because he was afraid I was going to get hurt. Now I'm fucked. I've never acted like that before in my life. I had various people write letters and come to court with me to stand in my corner but it didn't matter. I get sentenced on jan. 30th. It's all about the money. They just want that almighty dollar. I even had my doctor run a tox screen which came back negative for any illicit drugs. If I was charged for an alcohol offense, why the fuck am I being harassed for illicit drugs? I blew in the machine and it was completely negative, duh!!!!!!! I don't even drink that much. I don't even mind being alcohol tested. This whole experience has left me all messed up mentally and emotionally! I don't know what to do. It's becoming a police state here in Michigan. You can't even have a few drinks at home anymore. I don't even smoke pot but I'm seriously considering getting my green card just so I can try that and calm the hell down. If you are on probation they do honor the green card. And that makes me furious because they say no illegal drugs but you can smoke weed if you have a green card. I have severe medical problems. I'm on lorcet, soma, adipex and Xanax. These med have been helping me. I've made substantial progress and my doctor is very proud. We are working to prevent spine surgery. If they think I'm going to stop my medical therapy now, they are out f their fucking minds! I don't abuse my meds at all, in fact I even take less than I'm supposed to. Thank God I have insurance that pays for mental health because after today, I now need a therapist as well! So I've been ordered to substance abuse counseling through the state, which I have to pay for when my insurance covers that too. By the time all this is said and done, it's going to cost me about 2,000.00$ in fines, court costs and probation. This is just what my family needs during the hardest 3 months of the year. So now I'm worried if my specimens are tampered with or I blow with faulty equipment, I will probably be violated and go straight to jail. What bullshit. I work hard, my husband and I support 7 boys.
And furthermore, we are so poor even though we both work. Sorry ran out of characters in the above. I could have got a court appointed attorney but they suck and I would have had to pay for that too. My lawyer told me to dress up, look presentable in court. Can't help but to take of myself the best way I know how anyway but I'm not rich I just look good. I don't even drink.also gotta pay JAMS $ 480 for supervision over my urine. I should squirt the lady right in her eye with my urine for looking that hard. I don't have nothing to hide. NEVER dropped dirty. I just got caught with a 3.5 MARRY J. And going threw all this. My lawyer told me after court the judge never asked anybody to pay the full court fee's &fines upfront. I have been on JAMS testing since August of 2012. I had to do random alcohol and drug testing once a week until my sentencing which was in November. I never had a positive for drugs or alcohol. After sentencing, I was ordered to continue alcohol once a week and drug once a month randomly. Considering I don't do drugs or drink I was ok with it. It was only 3 more months. On January 8, my drug screen came back with opiates and benzo in my system. I know this isn't my test, and that it got mixed up with someone elses. I called my PO, gave her the line that this isn't my test, of course she didn't believe me. I have since had to hire a lawyer, as well as pay to have a hair follicle test done to prove that it wasn't my sample. Of course, my hair came back negative. I understand that my PO did what she is supposed to do by law, but that doesn't change the fact that I am now out more money because JAMS mixed my sample up with someone elses. Now I have to pay the price. I don't have a lot of money, live on my own and a full time student, so to have these added costs is a burden on me. It's one of those things that if I did it I would own up to it. Needless to say, if I get more things added to my probation because of this I will be suing JAMS. Because of their eff up I have had to miss time from work, school, and pay more out of pocket costs.

I go to the Jams in Madison Heights I am on the color Bronze. I'm supposed to drop 3 times a month and am not exactly sure how many times for PBT testing, I pay 9 bucks for drug and PBT AND 4 bucks for just PBT DAYS. It is very hard for me to urinate with someone staring but I try to drink as much water as I can 2 hours before and force myself not to use the bathroom. I still haven't been convicted I'm going through 48th district court with the lovely Kimberly Smalls (lol) I hope she takes me off this BS I was pulled over for driving with a suspended license but she dropped it to no opps but I still have to o through this bs.

The color does not determine the type of test you are scheduled to take on a particular day, that is determined by your individual file. I have had a different test than others of the same color on any given day.

Here is another one for the JAMS book. I called their office a week or two ago to ask a couple of general questions about their so called service.
I just wanted to know if in the event I was not close to a JAMS facility could I test someware else.
The rude person I spoke with would not even let me finish my question before talking over me, at that point I asked if the web site and the call in number was accurate. I told her that for whatever reason it seems sometimes they do not match.
That started a shit storm and I was told I had better have proof because their site is 100% accurate.
Well I took her advice and started compairing daily, not only that I take a screen shot and save it.
So Monday 3/18 I checked the site @6:30AM for my color Plumb, it was not listed so went about my day, I got home about 6:45PM after attending alcohol class opened my laptop and refreshed the JAMS page and lo and behold my color was now listed and two colors that were listed eariler there were gone.
Well I picked up the phone and called JAMS and told them what I found, they went right into the speach about how they don't make mistakes and that went on until I told the bitch that I had proof and I was forwarding a copy to my Lawyer and if they did not contact my PO ASAP I was going to take action.
Two days later I got a text from them saying I could come in any time that week and it was their mistake.
Since then I have documented three more days in the same week that the colors drop off and new ones are added.
FYI folks you had better cover your ASS with these FUCKS.

I have made numerous attempts over the last several months to contact Jams via phone and either I have to leave a message that is either Not returned or returned 5 to 7 business days later. When I happen to get someone Live on the phone I get an incomplete, condescending answer. I read your mission statement and I was under the impression that you were out to help folks that need an alternative to jail time so that they could continue to pay their debt to society and provide for their family. Well I guess that is a good thing? Helping society that is a good thing? But what I don’t agree with is the statement I received today 3/18/2013 “ If the web site doesn’t have the correct information maybe you should stop using it” furthermore “It is run by a third party” and “we will have to find out what is going on” and “I should not use the web site “Really? I am ALSO part of this B.S. testing with JAMS! I am very thin and only smoked a few hits a day. I have a HIGH metabolism and haven smoked ANYTHING for OVER 53 days, is there an INEXPENSIVE private lab in Wayne County I can go to to make SURE Urine is clean, so I don't have to sweat so much?
I'm blue and that is testing once a week. Do I still have to call every day to see if my color is called or am I done for the week since it's monday and I tested this morning?
The second week in February my color was not up at all on the website. When I had a court date, LeDuc said I failed to test on the 7th. I began printing the daily colors for proof and it happened again the week of March 17-23 that Lilac was not listed all week. I sent them a message with, of course, no response. At least I have my printouts to protect me for my next court appearance.
I also take issue with the inconsistent fees, and being required to test as part of bond with no conviction is guilty until proven innocent.
When testing for JAMS, can they tell what type of benzo you have taken? I have a script for Xanax but my friend gave me Ativan for a panic attack. If I take the Ativan, can they tell the difference? Thank you!

The Jams in Westland makes you feel very uncomfortable while trying to pee at times. They are disrespectful and are quick to make you retest if your piss is to clear or if you can't pee within two minutes. The guy gave me two minutes and then made me get back in line to retest and pay $6 again. They got an attitude with me and then the supervisor came in and told me to come back the next day because they were closing when there was still a guy behind me which they let drop. I check the website and call the hot line and two times I've seen where the hotline lady doesn't call a color,but the website does, so I told the person working when I tested and they said oh I told my manager and they haven't got back to me, it was 630pm, so I told him well a lot of people are going to go to jail and the three employees Laughed out loud, I didn't know what to said, so my suggestion is calling the hotline and going on the Internet checking Both for your color. I also take screen shots of the website so you have proof that your color was called or not,because I don't trust the hotline.
I've had two false positive EtG tests through JAMS already, one I spent two days in jail for already back in August, and another that I'm awaiting a court hearing on. I haven't had anything to drink in 10 months, avoid ANYTHING with alcohol (mouthwash, medicine, hand sanitizer, foods, etc.), have an un-home breathalyzer that I do twice daily, and just got rid of my Interlock that I had to blow into every 5 minutes while driving (but that's a whole other complaint.) What I don't like is that, both times, it took SIX WEEKS for JAMS to notify my PO about the positive results, far too long for me to go back and drop again to prove it was false. The location I use (Roseville) has it posted on their wall that their lab holds the samples for 60 days in case you need to contest your results, but no contact information is given on how to go.about doing this, and none of the employees will give me the information (and attempts to contact "the main office" via email has resulted in no replies.) It's all very unprofessional and shady, not to mention that, as well as testing for EtG, they should also be testing for EtS for more conclusive proof of drinking.
I'm in the process of scheduling appointments for hair follicle and nail testing to prove I have not been drinking, both of which are much more reliable tests for substance consumption since they don't show "incidental" exposure or outside contamination, and am going to switch testing companies if I don't end up going to jail - again - for this.

JAMS is a total scam. I am supposed to go PBT 5x times a week and drug test 1x a month, due to a OWI. Since I have been going since last week I have drug tested just about every day. I am going to do as recommended and test at ADAM. This place is a SCAM!!!!
Realistically it is what is, I had my first offense in 08 at age 24 and had no problem with my once a month blows. Now I am fighting my second offense which I feel is erroneous, but for every person who just comes in and urinates there's probably 5 people who try to smuggle urine in. I have social amiexty am do found a way to urinate infront of strangers. The dudes I've dealt with would pry do anything else than stare at someone's cawk.

You can view all of the public information on your case. You can check to see if they have sent you a letter about a probation violation, so you can find out sooner than when it arrives in the mail.

The Novi court is so egotistical. They include information on their website announcing that they have joined the Michigan Case look up system, but they fail to list a link to the website. If you have to do frequent random pbt's per week you might consider getting an in-home alcohol testing unit. It costs about $100.
Of course, I don't think probation officers are helpful enough to tell people that they have this option. You have to know about it to ask.

Judge Mackenzie has recently come under fire from the Novi Prosecutors office for fabricating court documents with out a Prosecutor present in the court room. In addition to that he has also reduced sentences for defendents of serious crimes and made the public records disappear. While his discretion and demeanor towards defendants who are accused of just simple misdemeanors is to put it simply ridiculous. Automatic sending to two years of probation, with jams testing. Oh and did I mention that the Freepress published a story yesterday about his ties to the company itself. The plot thickens--apparently he is the president of the Michigan Association of Drug court Professional or some shit. A public interest group which recieves large sums of money from you guessed it drug testing facilities. Can you also guess which testing company is a big doner? Not only that but 8 months after the dude is president of the company he, his wife, on a whim decides to apply for the position of executive director of the association and recievs a 40,000$ pension and 4,000$ bonuses.As well as paid travel expenses. Who funds all of that companies like JAMS. And at Novi, when the judge or probation officer requires you to take a random test right there on the spot, who is actually giving the tests? JAMS. Oh and did I mention Mackenzies sun worked their for 16 months. I was suppose to be off probation I paid all fines,went thru the classes and all my drops were clean and went to my review and hell began. She was not supposed to be handeling my case anyway. Now my probation is extended and I have to have a full panel every sunday $23 + a random drop thru the week $9 and don't let my urine be to clear I have to pay again,Damn who has money for this crap. What makes it so bad is there is nothing I can do but keep paying uh.
When ever you go to JAMS for testing, be sure to get a receipt. Based on the previous comment, it might even be a good idea to have them write the time on the receipt.
Has JAMs closed even more locations recently? Their latest document on locations was changedin Nov 2013. Have they posted on their website or in the offices which offices may have closed. If an office has closed, they need to notify people. I also think the intake form needs to tell people to bring extra money because they have to pee when they show up.

Jams employees are drug tested at where else but JAMs. They should test at a different company to avoid the possibility and appearance in impropriety.
I asked JAMs employees if they could post the prices in a frame on the wall. They looked at me like I was from Mars. Please give us respect by posting the current prices. It will also help to prevent arguments at testing locations. It is a win win situation which costs only $2.
If you switch from one testing company to a different testing company, ask your po if he/she can ask JAMS to waive the intake fee. You already paid the intake once, so you might get out of paying for it twice.
Another idea to avoid jams fees is to take lots of vacations out of state. - ha.

a year ago I was pulled over while driving home from the bar. had 2 beers in 2 hours. blew .02 and blood test later confirmed that. I had the medical marijuana card at the time and the cop noticed it as I put my drivers license away. he instantly knew I'd fail a blood test for marijuana so he claimed he smelled it in the car and used my slightly cracked sunroof as an excuse that I was getting high in the car. I wasn't. I know better than that. I had smoked 7 hours previous to being pulled over and clearly was not high. he forced me to do a sobriety test in the middle of a blizzard with 40mph gusts, I obviously failed. they took my blood and I spent 12 hours in the drunk tank because I might have been a little high (I wasn't.) 9 months later I get a letter in the mail saying there is a warrant for my arrest. for the fucking love of god I would have shown up to court without a warrant... anyway. magistrate instantly puts me on twice a week jams. eventually I get to Mackenzie and he makes one of his special backroom deals to avoid going to a jury trial (he hates jury trials). little did I know he would make probation virtually impossible, he dropped my charge to reckless driving and put me on 2 years of jams, AA twice a week (I have never had a problem with alcohol) drug counseling, MADD etc etc etc. so fucking villainous. FUCK YOU NOVI. FUCK YOU MACKENZIE. AND FUCK YOU JAMS.

Why the color red test 3 times a week
Ok, So I was assigned to breathalyze 2 times a week, and drop 2 times a month. Upon my intake they called my court to verify this. The color they assigned me is being called 3 times a week. I asked them about it but they refuse to give me a straight answer. I asked them " you have colors that are assigned to only be called 2 times a week right?". To their credit the did definitively answer me yes. I then asked "Well If thats the case then why is mine being called more?" They said "it's random" . I told them I understand that but did you assign. me a color that is called more than 2 times a week? They said if I had a question I should call theyre support line, but they (being the employees at the Farmington Hills office) were the one's who assgined me the color, not a corporate decision that was out of their hands. I believe that they deliberately assigned me a color that is ment to test more than what I am required so that I pay more than I'm expected too. This is textbook fraudulent behavior, not just a random act of negligence, and I believe I can establish a clear pattern of premeditated misconduct on their part, but any case I wish too devolpe is going to need more people to be stronger. I would like for anyone else who believes they have clear proof of illegal pratice on their part to email me at jamsinjustice@gmail.com . I encourage anyone who wishes to come forward to please do several things: 1) Restrict all claims to purely factual, clear and unbaised statements. 2) start tape recording all and any visits at jams, and ask them questions that will force them to lie, or admit any posssiable wrong doing. 3) tape record the colors that are being called in the morning when you call in, and log your vists. I know a hustle when I see one, and these people are clearly behaiving in deliberately negligent manner that is definable as criminal. If you feel as I do, and wat to actually do something about it then all we simply need to do is accurately gather evidence and let the facts speak for themselves. This outfit is reckless and feel they can opperate with impunity , which means that they will make irrefutable mistakes that even the most corrupt judicial system will he forced to acknowldge. But if we truely want justice its up to us to build a case, no one is going to do it for us, and no one else is in a better position to catch them red handed. I encourage people to tape record( avoid using a cellphone to not violate their policy). Also if you fear that they are stating you violated a urine test when you know you didnt, i advise you to find a method to provide a specien each day you test, (possiably arange with physician to provide and store your samples. We can find other measures to ensure quality check aginst their results. Im not saying it's going to b 3 easy, but they are sloppy and will inevitably hang themselves.

Yes jams must die and does suck. I'm finally off and have some sober and candid advice. Jams is better than jail, but not by much. The location and people also make a difference. The creepy old man at Rochester Hills last year was creepy and old. My first drop was as no go. The signs on the walls are not comforting a bit. Vicodin is heroin light was the best one. Its really a terrible experience going the first and every time. The staff can be rude depending on a million variables. The other crazy thing is that you can drink your ass off till about 9 p.m.every night and blow 0.0 the next morning.I know blood tests are more money, but how bout one a month? less labor for jams and less materials used. Yes, its a money grab and the whole secret ownership deal is crazy. My last call out was the times the hotline was wrong or had to be up dated after initial release. A few times the(I assume) black lady would read the rules and forget the colors. I also loved to hear her kids in the background sometimes screaming while she read colors. I also could tell when she was sick or getting sick or when she called in. Lastly, I hated when she said it would be busy and no one would be there and vice versa. I'm so glad I'm done with that shit. One more thing......Guys,take a 2 before you go or you will make it tough to go. I developed a 12 hour routine than had a good drop method. I hate seems people all bummed out and not able to perform. Peace out!!

I did some research in Lansing. JAMS is not owned by any judges or judges relatives. It is owned by four people in Pontiac MI. Nova Testing does have owners who are related to District Court Judges. You can verify this for yourself at the State of Michigan web site for Assumed Names and DBA records in the County offices.

Unfortunately I have been dealing with this places for nearly 10 years on and off... I have seen it all and been through most of it, I've been through court over false positives and not maintaining records I came bit I thought I figured it out and had been without issues for quite some time untill now.... I worked 5 am to 930 am and rushed straight to jams to do my breathlyzer and to my surprise I blew a .01, had me wait 10 minutes and another employee using a different machine tested a .18.. then immediately the used the first machine and had a reading of .010... I had not drank but assumed it was because the enclosed painting I had been doing... I immediately asked to do a etg but they said I must come back the following morning because by this time it was 20 mins after they closed.. I returned first thing the next morning and got an etg.. I felt better untill my po decided the positive breathlyzer was more accurate then the negative etg.... what the fuck ??? Now it looks like I might have to lawyer up and lose thousands because of someone's opinion? What us more reliable etg or breathlyzer? ? And ohh yeah fuck jams...

Lol. For one, getting tested for specific substances has NOTHING to do with what you were "caught" with. If you are caught with with weed, they will still test you for an array of drugs. Two, normally a 5 panal drug test will test for benzos, idk what "adultrants" are. Three, oxycotin does NOT show up as opiates. Neither does suboxone, methadone, ect.

I test in oxford I do not do any drugs or alcohol yet test positive for marijuana which I don't even use how is this even possible???? I protested the result and still waiting on that and that result will force me to have independent labs done if still positive just to not do 3 days in jail on macomb county's intense urine program. I did use them early but that's bc my brales were going out at the time....so he pulled me over I passed all the test yet he still insisted on breathalizing me but before he handed it to me he whipped it with something that when he put it up to my mouth smelled like it much have been am alcohol pad, so although I was sober I managed to blow a 0.28 and when I tried to fight it in court it was a officer of the law against a falsely accused drunk so I post and now my life is ruined

Anyone going to JAMS you MUST cover your own ass, literally. Though I am not going there anymore they tried like hell to violate me for something I knew I did not do, and after speaking to many I have found this happens alot they try to violate you for usually what you were arrested for. In my case it was a joke and I knew it was wrong so I ordered a hair follicle test to prove to them I had nothing to do with any drug period and lets just say the judge was NOT happy about that, this means they could not put me in jail which is more $$$ for them, no more testing which is no more money from me anymore. Then come to find the test they tried to violate me for wasnt even my urine, yep you got that right wasnt even my urine. They tried to violate me for a test done on 8/20 in Warren when first off I was in JAMS on 8/21 not 8/20 and I do NOT go to Warren I went to Oxford so the lab was in complete negligence or it was a failed set up to have me violated. I can not stress enough cover your ass, I even considered having a dip test done each time at my cost with results they'd have to sign for before sending my urine out. But thank god this all happen at the end of their infamous IUP program and I was done in fact I went beyond my end date because no one bothered to close my case off I had to call multiple people to get that done so I would not be violated for not showing up. JAMS is all about money and how they can get money from you and keep you in the system. I would love others to contact me through a facebook page I started to get together as many people as I can to get the stories out to a attorney to have the lab violated for negligence and JAMS stopped in their tracks for trying to screw innocent people over. Does any body know if jams test for specific drugs and metabolites? Or do they just test for the broad drug category? For example would heroin and vicodin both just show up as an opiate? Yeah, they test for hydrocodone. You need to ask if you are being drug tested or only Alcohol tested. Are you doing a saliva test, if so the container will have blue liquid in the bottom when you look at it. No liquid is just alcohol but the paper you sign every time will list what they're testing for. I hope that helped! Also I believe that the people who sign up to watch people pi$$ all day have either a urine fetish or they get off on power and humiliation. Sick Fu(k$!!!!!

The people are nice the prices are great and the best thing of all the place is really clean and everyone is so great, they treat you with respect. They are located on Harper just south of Masonic. there is a $10 test for alcohol and drugs and a $10 test just for drugs.but since you are getting the ETG screen I'm sure you're getting the alcohol and drug test.and they will breathalyze you too.the ETG screen is a test that goes back up to 80 hours for alcohol.

Testing Reminder is the app name available on the market. Download now to see if your color has been called! The other application I am competing with is not free(trying to take more of your money). Just know I made this for us first. Also wouldn't you rather use an application by someone that has been in your shoes? Or download the other one that some lawyer made and pay him. Testing Reminder is the answer! Good luck and time goes by quick. You'll be over that in no time.
There is a great App that i use and It is called "Court Test". It has been awesome ever since i had it, honestly. They have an exclusive agreement with JAMS from everyone has told me. I know that they are on both Apple and Android. Truthfully, i don't mind paying $5 a month for the sense of relief that they have given me while i am going through probation and this stress.

I agree very unconstitutional. I just got arrested for a crime that I didn't commit. It had nothing to do with drugs and alcohol and at my arraignment they told me I had to report to jams for drug and alcohol testing before my pretrial hearing.I haven't been convicted of a crime so how can they order me to Jams? INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY? I went yesterday for my first appointment and had to pay ten dollars for my drug screen and alcohol test and everything went good BESIDES SOME GUY THAT LOVES LOOKING AT YOUR PENIS. I called the next morning and the letter B was called so I had to go again for a drug test and pay them more money. I arrived at jams after working all day and the same guy watched my pee again. I handed him the sample and he told me it was diluted. WTF? I drink water throughout the day to keep myself hydrated because my doctor told me to drink more water. He told me that I would get violated if he turned it in. VIOLATED? How? He watched me pee? I don't even do drugs so I got upset because I felt like I was going to jail for something I didn't do. I came back 2 hours later to test again and he still didn't except my pee because it wasn't yellow enough. WTF? I wanted to protect myself from being violated so I took out my phone and started video taping myself peeing into a cup and handing it to the loser employee. He told me I wasn't allowed to video tape anything inside the jams facility. Why can't I? Is their a new law that says I can't use my phone that I don't know about? This place is a joke and violates our constitutional rights and needs to be stopped. Why should I have to pay another ten dollars? I gave them what they wanted? I began JAMS this morning and it is extremely hard to go as someone stares at you, plus you have 2 minutes to do it? I didnt know that and didnt give him enough of a sample, so he told me to go grab something to drink and come back in 15 minutes. I went to the car and chugged a bottle of propel I had, and went back in there. He gave me the same cup, without emptying in, so I could finish. I was able to finish but had to initial the top of the cup after he placed a "tamper" sticker over the top. Is this going to be okay?? I'm kind of scared it was contaminated somehow.

I am being randomly tested for PBT's 2x's weekly (when I registered I looked at thier breathalyzer and wondered when the last time it had been calibrated was & also here is your blow straw you hang onto it and don't lose it for the next year, every time you replace it, it is $1) Also, the day I registered there was not a female there! I remember from when I had my DUI your supposed to wash your hands first to minimize any contamination of your sample such as hair products,. Lotions etc. JAMS wont let you wash your hands first. Also, the place is filthy

I got a harsh sentence because the PO did not like the fact I was about to get into the first offender program - which was deserved. I have no criminal history except 1 DUI which my Lawyer, the Judge, and Prosecution knew about. What ticked her off is I am still under medical care and will be evee for the duration of my Probation, meaning I am on several prescription drugs, 2 are strong opiates and there is nothing she can do about it. Anyway, this facility is disgusting. I would much rather pay more and know my samples are being handled correctly and go to the Oakland County facility on Crooks Rd.

I have been Givin jams testing for chemical testing. I have gone here some times before. I am just wondering if you can't pee and show an effort being made will your po work with you to change the kind of test your givin. I have tried 5 times in a row to do a urine test and all 5 times I couldn't go. Will they violate me? The 33rd district court says they don't do the mouth swabs so im wondering if I have other options. I have extremely high stage freight. I can't go with someone looking at me or rushing me.now it affects me at work to, I can't pee at work now. I had to go to the hospital so I could get catheterized so I could provide a drug screen, they wanted urine I wanted go give them urine. My lawyer is working on being the judge to let me do a hair follicle test at my own expense. I'm just wondering if I have any other options other then a urine test. If not I'm set up to fail and might as well turn myself in. I can't force my body to do something I know it can't do. This jams thing has ruined my life I can't eat or sleep. I'm always worried I can't stop thinking about it. I don't drink or do any drugs. I'm just running game out of options. Any help will be much appreciated. Does anyone know if the ETG test they give only test for alcohol or does it test for weed and other things too. They have me doing 4 ETG tests a month which are $15 dollars each and then every other week I get this other kind of test that says its for drugs and alcohol which costs $11. So to make the question clear does weed show up for a ETG test?
Same thing happened to me, lady said urine was not yellow enough and spilled it out while I was washing my hands. I told her I want a pic of it and she said too late I dumped it..... wtf....I got them on voice recorder telling me not to drink water for 24 to 48 hrs before testing.....
